Replacement boilers
Replacing with a more efficient boiler
One of the main distinctions between boilers is whether they are condensing or not. Old boilers tend to be non-condensing, but all new models are. You can check the efficiency of your old boiler by using the Product Characteristics Data Base at https://www.ncm-pcdb.org.uk/sap/
As a general rule, if your boiler is non-condensing it is probably worth replacing, either with a heat pump or with a more efficient condensing boiler.
